How We're Managing COVID FAQs

We understand that this is a challenging and uncertain time.  Add in food allergies and concerns about having enough safe foods available and the anxiety goes up a notch.

Rest assured that we are open, although it's not necessarily business as usual.  Check below for answers to common questions.

What are you doing to handle COVID-19 in your facility?
While we always have very high standards for what is allowed in our facility, protective gear we wear and how we clean and sanitize, these have stepped up even higher, including:

  • Keeping the facility closed to everyone except staff and essential services
  • Employee health screening
  • No contact deliveries and pickups
  • Requiring deliveries to sit for 24 hours before opening
  • Extra sanitizing stations, including outside the building prior to entry
  • Dedicated areas for individual employees to keep their belongings and eat their lunch
  • Maintaining social distancing and wearing full face shields in production areas

Can I still order from you?
Absolutely, we greatly appreciate your support!  There are still two ways to order from us:

  1. Place an order on our website as usual
  2. Place an order on Amazon, including Prime 

Do you have everything in stock?
Your understanding is requested at this time as order volumes are much higher than usual.  If there is no stock, we are making as fast as we can and will touch base with you about whether you want to keep your place in line as an item becomes available or if you'd like to be refunded.

Will my order take the usual amount of time to ship?
Orders are taking longer during this time.  We’re working hard to get most orders out within our usual time expectations but, depending on the volume of orders any given day, that hasn’t always been possible. 

We’ve also received notice from the couriers we use (including Canada Post) that they are so busy that they are unable to deliver in the usual amount of time.  This includes regular ground shipments as well as express, so they are not honouring their time delivery guarantees.

How safe is it to receive an order?
The CFIA has stated that they are not aware that the COVID-19 virus can be transmitted by food or food packaging.  Our products come in tamper proof, sealed containers and this ensures that they are not contaminated prior to delivery. 

Delivery companies are providing contactless deliveries at this time to protect both you and their drivers.  But with anything that you're ordering or picking up at the store, remember that it is always important to follow good hygiene practices when handling or preparing foods.
