What do you do when you’ve got a husband and child with 6 different life-threatening food allergies and you’re frustrated with the lack of safe and healthy snacks for your family? If you’ve been baking and experimenting since you got your first cake mix set at age 6 (yes, that's me in the picture on my 6th birthday), you start a food company. At least that’s what I did, creating Libre Naturals (originally Nonuttin' Foods) to help families just like mine.
Beginning with 3 flavors of granola bars, I never stopped experimenting, bringing out a variety of different products and flavors over the years. Along the way, I was able to remove more food allergens from my formulas such as gluten and soy.
I now oversee our Canadian manufacturing facility that is free of all of the top 11 food allergens, gluten, genetically modified ingredients, preservatives, colors and artificial flavors. Libre Naturals has also achieved several 3rd party certifications including Kosher pareve (2005), Gluten Free through GFCO (2010) and SQF Level 2 Food Safety Certification to Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards (2016).
Libre Naturals continues to be owned by my family and we're lucky to have a wonderful crew of dedicated staff who believe in my original mission to help families just like mine.
